Heartbit makes it easy to download your transaction and order history. Whether you need records for tax reporting, personal accounting, or just peace of mind, everything is available in standard formats that work with spreadsheets and accounting tools.
Why Export Your Data?
There are several reasons you might want to export.
- Tax reporting: in Israel and most countries, Bitcoin transactions may have tax implications. Having a clean record of your buy and sell history, including dates, amounts, and prices, makes tax filing straightforward.
- Accountant handoff: if you work with an accountant or tax advisor, they will likely need a CSV file of your transactions.
- Personal records: keeping an offline backup of your financial history is good practice regardless of tax obligations.
What You Can Export
Heartbit offers two separate exports.
- Transaction history includes all wallet activity such as deposits, withdrawals, sends, and receives. Each record includes the date, type, status, amount in BTC, equivalent USD value at the time, transaction hash, and addresses involved.
- Order history includes all buy and sell orders placed on the platform. Each record includes the date, side (buy or sell), order type (market or limit), status, amount in BTC, execution price, total in USD, and fee.
How to Export
- Go to Settings from the main navigation.
- Select the Data Export section.
- Choose what to export: Transactions or Orders.
- Select the format: CSV for spreadsheets or JSON for technical use.
- Click the download button.
The file downloads immediately to your device. CSV files open directly in Excel, Google Sheets, or any spreadsheet application.
Tips for Israeli Tax Reporting
In Israel, digital asset activity may have tax implications. Depending on the facts, gains from selling Bitcoin may be taxable. Keeping organized records of every purchase and sale, including the date, amount, price in ILS, and any fees, is essential for accurate reporting.
If you use external portfolio entries alongside Heartbit trades, remember to export and combine both sets of data for a complete picture of your Bitcoin activity during the tax period.
